Unhealthy lifestyle is a regular factor of our main health problems, such as: stroke, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc. Have you ever asked yourself what do the nation’s top physicians advice in order to keep your body, heart, and mind, and in a good health?

Here is a Web MD turned to Richard A. Lange’s, MD, chief of cardiology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, secret to a long and healthy life:

1. Daily exercise.

Exercising is equally important as brushing your teeth on a daily basis; Instead of watching the TV or sitting in front of the computer, try exercising at least 30 minutes daily. Aerobic exercises are good for your hearth. There are some other options, too, such as: biking, rowing machine, walking, jogging, elliptical machine, and swimming. However, you are not required to become an athlete. One of the greatest and probably the easiest exercises is walking. Giving 10 minutes of your day to walking counts as a kind of exercising. Try starting with some simple things you’ll do on a daily basis, such as parking your car farther from the place you are visiting–in this you will make extra steps. Instead of the elevator, take the stairs. If for instance, you go by bus or a taxi, then get off one stop earlier and go by foot the rest. Get out at lunch to walk. Also, you can walk with your partner, friend or even colleague after work. This will help reducing stress and you will feel much relieved, as well.

2. Include healthy diet to your eating habits.

You should stop eating fast food and junk food. Foods that are high in saturated fats, salt, and cholesterol can harm your heart, brain, and overall health. You should avoid it and replace it with foods that are healthy in nature. Instead try eating lots of, vegetables, fruits, fish, nuts, and olive oil, too. This is known as the Mediterranean diet. Also, it is important that you enjoy in all this.

Too much body weight puts your health at great risk. When you take in more calories than you burn, you get fat — it’s that simple. You’ve got to eat less.
