Oklahoma City Thunder Rumors

Will St. Louis Missouri get an NBA team in 2010?
With rumors that the Rams are going to move out.(Stadium top ten guarantee, can leave if St. Louis doesn’t get a better stadium) With Oklahoma City Thunder moved from Seattle, the team tradition is still staying in Seattle, and I believe (not for sure though) David Stern said there will be Seattle Supersonics again once the New Stadium in Seattle is finished.(Which I believe that is supposed to happen in 2010) If that happens they will be 31 NBA teams. Odd number, so I think you move The Grizzlies to the Eastern Conference, and make a team in St. Louis. The new team location could be in San Diego, Vancouver, Boise, St. Louis, Kansas City, Some place in Mexico, Canada, or Europe. Will St. Louis get a NBA team, and will it be able to stick. This might happen it might not, but with New Rams owner and St Louis sucking in Football and Unbelievable fan support in St. Louis this can happen.
I doubt it. Stern wants the Sonics back in Seattle which makes them first on the list (which I don’t get it being Seattle’s fault for them leaving the city in the first place. Though I suppose that’s neither here nor there).
Also, Anaheim and Kansas City have brand spanking new stadiums that they desperately want to put a pro team, any pro team, in. Better chance the NBA allows a move to a city with a new stadium than to the Lou (they don’t have a new arena do they?)
I wouldn’t be too surprised to see the Kings move to Anaheim and the Grizz move to KC within the next five years.
With this economy the chances the NBA adds another new team is right around 0%. To be honest, it would probably make sense economically to buy out 3 or 4 teams, disband them, and distribute the players via a draft. Though I don’t see that happening either.
“Maybe that could happen but I heard Las Vegas might get a team.”
To this point I’ve heard that Stern in no way wants a team in Vegas. It could happen though, I agree.
“St. Louis could get a team, but its not about the fans as much as it is about what the city and new owners are willing to do”
Which is why Thunder fans are watching one of the most exciting young teams in sports instead of Seattle.
